Ah! Some more original characters! Shadow (the guy) and his preferred mode of transportation, Wings (the bird). The names are a bit bland because Shadow chose them himself and he has no creativity... In the world that his story takes place in, true names are particularly powerful for beings of magic (so magicians, wizards, dragons and the like... even Wings, who is a magical construct, is susceptible to name magic) so nicknames are very common.
